Free Tutorial - Simple Wire Hook Earrings
I got distracted again! Instead of finishing those in my "to do list", a sudden urge to create a simple hook earrings for myself consumed me yesterday. Since I am in taking picture mood, I took some pictures to show the steps involved in creating this simple pair of wire earrings. Click on the pics for larger view.
Do Enjoy! :) and leave me feedback if you have the time.
Not much, just 2 pieces of 5in wire and beads of your choice.
I used 3 beads for each side. The number of beads is up to you. Less beads, less wire :)
Yeah! bend the wire all the way down. This is one big round nose pliers. Found it in hubby's toolbox...LOL...now unofficially mine.
....back to hammering, to harden the hook....I loooove hammering! Be careful! Don't hammer the beads.
When done with hammering, use flat nose pliers to bend the hook ends this way. Bend about 0.5cm, about 45 degree.

Peruvian "Wire" Art
I decided to detour a bit today. Just need to try this out....the Peruvian String art....a hot topic in the wire jewelry forums that I am a member of for the last weeks.
What I learned from this first try is that the coil that I made is too fine. So, if you are thinking of trying this out, make a bigger coil and space them further apart. Otherwise, you will end up using lots....yeah! lots of wire, like me.
Overall... I love this string art...give it a try and you will be hook.

Sneak Peek - "Tulip"
The earlier pictures taken for a similar tulip were not satisfactory...at least for me. So, I started from scratch and recaptured new pictures for the up and coming tutorial for this wire wrapped tulip.
Keep posted for the tutorial.

Sparkly 'O' Studs - Variations
Here are few variations of the Sparkly 'O' Studs.
Yeah! you can actually create a pendant out of this tutorial. Now we have to call it Sparkly 'O' Pendant :)
This one is all wire - copper wire. Simple and nice!
Another with copper wire and malachite - 8mm
...and this one just to show how it looks like on my ear. A bit blur there...took the picture myself so tried very hard to get a good shot.

PREVIEW New Tutorial - Ring "O" Studs
Guess I pre-announce the publication of my next tutorial first.
The idea for this design came quite unexpectedly. The plan was I wanted to try out the bird's nest pendant but idea struck midway and I created this Ring O Studs. Funny name ya?
Do you have suggestions for a better name? I am very bad with naming my jewelry.
So, wait for the announcement.
