Shell Earrings - Vibrant and Fun

Two pairs of earrings made of colorful shell beads. The round one is a commissioned piece and I made the longish one for fun as I love the combined vibrant colors of the shells.

Getting Entangled Again

This stone, rutilated quartz or locally known as golden needles (literally translated from Malay language for "Jarum Emas") belongs to a friend. I am just helping her to wire wrap it with my favorite wrap (for now) - entangled wire wrap by Liza Nevin. The finished pendant is quite heavy as the stone is quite big and thick - about 1.5in x 1 in x 0.5in. This is my fourth entangled wire pendant. Before this I have completed three others as shown here (square), here and here.

Wire Wrap Rose Quartz Heart Earring

Though coiling the copper wire took so much of my time, I managed to get this earring done this evening. Just a simple heart rose quartz earring with 4mm bicone swarovski crystal. This one is a commissioned piece.

Copper Wire All Coiled and Neat

Finally I managed to sort out the copper wire salvaged last week. Weigh about 500g. Feel sad that I have to throw away about one quarter as they are badly tarnished and bend. Meanwhile, got to think of some projects for this wire.

Spoons, Forks, Rocks and Wire

Combine all four and what will you get? Some very interesting stuff I must say. I stumbled upon Dr. Gus's (he is only 19!) site and I was mesmerized with all the stuff he makes especially the spoon and fork collection. Check them out at Doctor Gus and I am sure you would be inspired too. I am looking at spoons and forks differently now. Soon our house will be running out of them.....hahaha...Opp! we will have to eat with our fingers.....

Recycled Copper Wire

I managed to salvage some copper wire from a water pump "armature" few days ago. Meters and meters of them. This time the wire is not coated. All copper but they need some cleaning. Half of them may not be usable. Hopefully not. Wanted to take some pictures of them but didn't manage to yet.
