Not again! Yeah, I am still with sparkling rings today. Hopefully, I will get all done by tomorrow. Only spent about 3 hours on the rings today as we went out for a ride this afternoon.
Here are some photos of today's outing to a fishing village about 30km from the city and around Kuching City.
Election day is just around the corner and posters and banners are all over Kuching. This is just one sample of it.
Just when I thought that I am quite slow with my hands, today I surprised myself with these sparkling swarovski crystal rings. I made them, all 16 of them this afternoon, while the boys were taking their nap. A new record for me. These rings are made up of 8mm swarovski crystal (round and rondelles) as the focal and surrounded by two gold plated 4mm round bead and 4 pieces of 5mm crystal swarovski crystal (bicone). They are wrap with 24g, 14k gold filled wire. There are four different colors that I managed to complete this afternoon and each consists of 4 different sizes, i.e size 15, 16, 17 and 18. If you are not sure about ring sizes, check it out here for the conversion chart.
If you really like sparklies, these rings are available for purchase. You may email me directly for inquiry or leave a comment and I will get back to you. There are more sparkly rings on the way.
After few days of inactivity, I finally managed to complete this pair of earrings today. This piece is based on Corra's Wired Chinese Knot or Pipa Knot that I mentioned the other day. Took me whole afternoon to make this. While wrapping the goldstone, pearls and lime colored gem (not sure what stone this is but I love the color, must check with the expert later!), I really have no idea where it was going and I can't stop thinking that I would not be able to make the other pair. Phew! They turned up quite ok in the end. This post earrings measure about 3cm x 2cm.
Maybe this piece will be my first etsy piece. Yeah! Am planning to start selling on line this time around. Wish me luck then and will keep you posted on my etsy store. Hopefully soon!
This is one long overdue piece I owe someone.
I started off with a border wrap but failed miserably I don't even dare to show you the failure here.....:D. But this is better. To the new owner tomorrow.
These are some new rings completed today. I used various types of beads and gemstones including pearls and swarovski crystals for these rings. Each ring uses 4 beads and wrapped using a wire wrapping technique I learn from one of the wire jewelry forum I am in. To the people who shared this tutorial, thanks a lot for sharing.
