Ethnic Ring - The Eyes are Watching

Sunday, December 20, 2009

Today I am reminded of Iza when I made this Ethnic Ring. If you don't know her, check out her awesome jewelry designs here. She has an etsy shop selling tutorials here.
Anyway, back to the ring, I took longer time than usual to complete this ring. Actually I redo 3 times to get the right size. The first one was too small, on second try the wires didn't want to cooperate so I threw the whole thing into the dustbin...a bit frustrated. Finally on third try, just the size I wanted.

This is a gorgeous ring Mei...as you know I love amethyst, which it looks as though that is what you used for both sides of the the center beads in this ring...

I visited Iza's sites and she is amazingly talented!!!

Yeah Heather, they are amethyst. Always forgot to mention that.
Thanks Tammy, thanks Lori and all the best in your new journey.

I have been following and enjoying your work for quite a while. When I saw this ring I had to reach out you. Love it! It also pointed out to me how inspiration can occur in more than one place at a time. I just recently completed a ring based on the "Eye of Horace." I hope you'll check it out on my blog.

Hi Gloria, I just have a glimpse of your blog and I am heading back right after this. Thanks for commenting. I always love to hear what others have to say about things I post here. And this time around, inspiration do occur in more than one place at a time :)
