Wire Wrap Stud Earrings - New Design

My "reply to comment" is back in order. How did I do it? I took the shortest and easiest way out...at least for me, as I don't think I'd be able to find out the problem (and solve it) on my own.....technically challenged.
So, I uninstalled, downloaded and re-installed Chrome!!! Thanks to Google I was able to get back all my bookmarks, etc. and at the same time get rid of some of the apps installed but never used.

Anyway, I hope you have a great Chinese New Year (CNY) and holidays (for those celebrating).
Mine is so and so, punctuated with unpleasantness here and there.
It was a wet CNY and kind of gloomy on most days, till this moment.
Another day more and its back to work.....
The whole week almost gone....and still lots to do.

Today, I am sharing with you a new design for a wire wrap stud earrings.
No soldering or gluing involved here.
Just plain wire wrapping.

This earrings was designed (special request) and made to match a bracelet of the same coin glass beads (sorry, no picture as I handed the bracelet to the new owner as soon as it was done).
Thanks Marc for getting me thinking and came up with this studs design.

A tutorial for this wire wrap stud earrings is in the list.

Can't Comment!

Arrrrrrgh! I can't reply to comment on my blog.
Why? Why? Why? Been trying for two days.

Dear readers, do you have the same experience before?
How do you solve this?
I have never experience this before.

Looks like I have to reply to comment here.
Hope there is no problem publishing.

Banae, I hope you are reading this.

What gauge of wire are you utilizing here? I am just starting and thought this would be an easy item to make to learn how to work with the wire and tools before I purchased your other tutorials. THank you.

Twice Around the World Set

Its rainy days here in Kuching.
After 4 or 5 hours of rain this morning, the roadside drain is overflowed.
This rarely happen and I have a feeling lots of places in the city are flooded by now.
A friend got caught and stuck in the traffic jam on the way to work.
Hubby called to let me know not to go out this morning as most roads (on his way to work) are flooded and cars are stuck in between.
There goes my leave. I am suppose to get an official matter done this morning.
Anyway, this is a good opportunity to post my recent pretties for your viewing.

Remember the Peace Pendant from NanoStyle?
Look what I've done to it. It has got lots of friends.
Attached it to a long chain and I can put on and take off anytime in a second.
Going to add some lively colors to it later on.
For now, I will enjoy the "dull" color ;)

Wire Wrap Crystal Pendant - Triplets

We all have our own Thanksgiving Day and today its our US friends' turn.
Based on my little knowledge and understanding, Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in the United States every 4th Thursday in month of November.
So, I am taking this opportunity to wish Happy Thanksgiving Day to all friends and readers from the US.
Here in Malaysia, we celebrated our Thanksgiving Day back in Sept 12 (15th day of 8th lunar month), commonly known as Mid-Autumn Festival or the Moon Cake Festival. Well, as the name indicated, we celebrated with lots of mooncakes and lanterns :) More on Moon Cake Festival here.
Mid-Autumn Festival or the Moon Cake Festival

Back to wire jewelry, here is a recently completed crystal pendant.
They are triplets.
The crystals are rather small and quite difficult to work with.
However, as I don't want to disappoint a friend and myself, I managed to wire wrap them nicely.
Yes! I can do it! hahaha...just giving encouragement to self :)

Happy Holidays and have a great day.

Brass Wire and Sparklies

So far I mostly work with stainless steel wire, gold filled wire and a little bit of silver and copper wire.
Last weekend I decided to try out the brass wire that I purchased recently.

Erm...I found that it is quite easy to work with.
In fact a bit too soft for me.
I like the color though. They looks like gold, don't you think so?
Just hope that it doesn't tarnish over time.

Here are the results - A pearl bracelet and adjustable wire wrap ring, with tiny pearls.

Back to School and Peace Pendant

When the boys start school earlier this week after a week long holiday, it means back to busy time for me.
Besides work, basically its back to the routine of dropping and picking up the boys from schools.
Morning is not so much of a problem as I drop Henry at his kindy on the way to work.
At noon time, I have to rush to pick him up and drop him off at home by 12:30pm. As he gets out of the car, William gets in and off we go as he is in the afternoon session which starts at 12:45pm. After dropping him off, normally just on the dot, I'll drive straight to office, grab a quick lunch (normally tapao / take away) and back to work - all within 1 hour, provided there is no traffic jam.
That's basically my day on week days.
Now you know why I am always looking forward to weekends and holidays....hehehe.
I am sure there are many parents in similar situations as I am but that is part of life over here.
Not sure about other places though....maybe you can share.
Enough rambling, here is what we really need - PEACE - at home or outside home.
This wire wrapped Swarovski Crystal peace pendant was completed a while back but it got pushed back and back till now.

Wire wrapped charms with yellow colored big beads and porcelain bead
These are my favorite. These beads have large enough hole for the chain to go through, so I made them this way.
