Monstrance Bracelet with Egyptian Coils
Done! An Egyptian Coiled Monstrance Bracelet.
The focal and 'rays' consist of square and bicone Swarovski Crystals. Actually I was looking for a round flat crystal for focal but can't find any so settled with this square crystal.
The monstrance measures approximately 4cm x 3.5cm.

New Pliers, Cutters, "Tea Ring" & Turquoise Bracelets
I am back, kind of! Was away for a very short period, then there was the on and off internet connection, then busy with work and started a new blog which have been put off for a while - http://OrchidBliss.blogspot.com. So for those of you who are Orchids enthusiast, check out our (me and hubby) blog on orchids - wild / species orchids.
Got myself a silver ring with my name attached to the top too. Known as "Tea Ring" as narrated by the maker. Some people call it Snake Ring. However mine don't look like snake as my name (MEI) is attached to the top. So what is the story with "Tea Ring"?
Simply, get your friends to reassemble this ring while you are having tea. If they can't do it, they pay for your drinks. That's it. I haven't tried it out yet. Soon....when I need some free drinks...:D
Anyone of you own or ever come across this type of ring? I first heard of this when I was at my parents place last 2 weeks and just gotta make one. The man who makes them happened to live close by so I didn't waste my time. Well, actually I have another intention, to find out if I can make one with wire...hehe...

Here are my new purchase - can't resist.
Flat nose pliers and a straight full flash side cutter.

ITS OUT - New Tutorial | Wire Wrapped Tulip Pendant
My new tutorial for a Wire Wrapped Tulip Pendant that you can also make into earrings or brooches is out.
Of all my tutorials, this one has taken me the longest time. I actually started it sometime in March. Halfway through I decided to retake the whole new set of pictures, not satisfied with the earlier ones.
Its hard work but finally its out and I hope it will be another inspiration for you.
The design for this wire wrapped tulip is one of a kind. The story behind this design started when a customer requested for a flower brooch back in Mid 2008 - First Tulip Brooch.
The rest is history as the saying goes :)
What's in this tutorial?
This tutorial teaches you how to create a One of a Kind Wire Wrapped Tulip with five (5) petals. Although you need to know the basic weaving technique, the pictorial instruction will guide you step by step until you successfully complete a tulip. Once finished, this tulip can be turned into a pendant, earrings or brooch. Its a good deal...hehe :)
Material and Tools?
You don't have to run to the store and purchase additional materials or tools if you are already a wire jeweler.
No special tools required.
Just the basic material and tools - wire and beads, round nose pliers, flat nose pliers, bend nose pliers, nylon jaw pliers and wire cutters and most important of all a dose of creativity and inspiration. Maybe a bit of patience...with the weaving :)
What are you waiting for? Go on to my etsy shop and check it out - click here and off you go. Thank you all for your continued support - not only for those who has been purchasing (and will be purchasing) but also those who only read my posts, glance through my posts and those who accidentally discover my blog and inspired.
Last but not least, thank you for leaving your comments here...that will make my day? Just be kind :)
