Wire Wrapped/Coiled Earrings - Fruity
This pair of earrings is a long overdue project. Been many many moons.
Sorry! "S"....:) Was delaying a "bit" when I thought about all the wire coiling needed. However, I learn an easy way to coil wire (with a drill) which speed up the whole process a thousand time and save me all the sore fingers from Ms. Perri (thank you! thank you! Ms. Perri for being such a generous and sharing person).
Anyway, "S", I hope you like this pair of earrings.
Many many champagne colored pearls, Swarovski Crystals and tourmaline and the large faceted champagne colored drop crystals. All component of the earrings are handcrafted including the ear hooks. The earrings measure about 6.5cm (2.5in) from top to bottom. Weight....hmmm.....1kg each...haha! just jokinglah!....but you can feel the weight pulling down your earlobes though.... hmmm...how heavy is that?.....but no worry, as long as they attract all the attention...hehe~:D

Turquoise - Modified Monstrance
It was originally like this!
"Bib", the new owner however requested that I replace the focal with this 8mm turquoise.
While wire wrapping the turquoise as focal, the idea to wrap the 4 bicone crystals on the 4 corners struck me. I quickly emailed her and asked what she think of the addition and her reply is ......"ohhhh, i lurv it Mei....do proceed."

Before Wire Jewelry.....
These were the projects I was doing before I got myself hooked with wire wrapped jewelry more than 3 years ago.
These pillow case is an unfinished project. "Rediscovered" yesterday when I was clearing (more spring cleaning!) a wooden drawer to make way for my wire and beads :D.
.....hmmm! maybe I should do something about this. What a waste.
All the embroidery and needle point work....just beautiful.
This is another project with plastic straws. It was a very popular craft project in Kuching many many years back. Even FIL also joined in the fun. We have more in the downstairs glass drawer.
Don't look too closely as you will notice the dust collected over the years. This one goes into the dustbin!
Another plastic straws project.....pretty! pretty! roses.

Monstrance Bracelet with Egyptian Coils
Done! An Egyptian Coiled Monstrance Bracelet.
The focal and 'rays' consist of square and bicone Swarovski Crystals. Actually I was looking for a round flat crystal for focal but can't find any so settled with this square crystal.
The monstrance measures approximately 4cm x 3.5cm.
Last but not least, don't forget to check out my new blog on orchids - OrchidBliss.

New Pliers, Cutters, "Tea Ring" & Turquoise Bracelets
I am back, kind of! Was away for a very short period, then there was the on and off internet connection, then busy with work and started a new blog which have been put off for a while - http://OrchidBliss.blogspot.com. So for those of you who are Orchids enthusiast, check out our (me and hubby) blog on orchids - wild / species orchids.
Got myself a silver ring with my name attached to the top too. Known as "Tea Ring" as narrated by the maker. Some people call it Snake Ring. However mine don't look like snake as my name (MEI) is attached to the top. So what is the story with "Tea Ring"?
Simply, get your friends to reassemble this ring while you are having tea. If they can't do it, they pay for your drinks. That's it. I haven't tried it out yet. Soon....when I need some free drinks...:D
Anyone of you own or ever come across this type of ring? I first heard of this when I was at my parents place last 2 weeks and just gotta make one. The man who makes them happened to live close by so I didn't waste my time. Well, actually I have another intention, to find out if I can make one with wire...hehe...
