Wire Work and Embroidery / Needlework

My wire muse still refuses to come home. So, last weekend I deviated a bit from wirework and revisited embroidery and needlework. Been a while since I last hold the needle and here is my experimental work - combining wire work and needlework.

Don's Bow Earrings - Wire Wrapped Stud Earrings

Louise and Don are very talented wire artists that I got to know from one of the jewelry forums that I joined. I feel very honored that they are interested with my Wire Wrapped Stud Earrings Tutorial :) The amazing thing is Don came up with his own version of the stud earrings with the addition of "LITTLE BOWS". Very cute aren't they?! Louise said:
"You know Don, if he can tie a knot, he will"
Wire Wrapped Stud Earrings with Bows by DonLouise and Don also write tutorials. I have both and they are both a hit! If you have the time, do check them out at their FB - Kingfisher Designs. Their tutorials are very well written, easy to understand and I can assure you that you will be able to create the projects taught with flying colors. Here are their tutorials: Woven Wave Ring - Adjustable and versatile. Very popular! My version, quite a few of them and here are just some of them. Tucuman Bracelet - Very unique and one of a kind. My versions here and here. I should revisit these two designs. Been a while. WireBlissMei

Miniature Wire Tree

Miniature Wire Tree Since I am a bit slack these days, I stumbled upon this blog - The Pleasure of Tiny Things belonging to Diem Chau while stumbling here and there the other day. I made it a point to try out her tutorial for this miniature tree and finally made one with Japanese Beads and 26 ga stainless steel wire. While you are here, check out her work with the crayons - Just Awesome! Miniature Wire TreeWireBlissMei

Happy Father's Day!

I am taking this opportunity to wish a very Happy Father's Day! to all reader who are someone's fathers. Emm...confusing myself. Anyway, seems like my creative muse still refuses to come back. Here are few items I purchased yesterday - a stainless steel "dog tag" with my name engraved on it (just for fun!), 3 cabs and two key chains each for William and Henry. Got them dirt cheap and engraving looks easy. Gets me thinking of getting an engraver for myself :) Duh! coral agate, fosilized coralcoral agate, fosilized coral WireBlissMei

I Heard What You Want!

The poll ended two days ago but I procrastinated in posting them till now. For those who participated in this mini survey, a "BIG Thank You" from me. Now I know what you want, hmm...at least the majority....:D, although only 29 voted. The Wire Wrapped Butterfly Pendant is the most popular judging by the poll result (48%). This is followed by Facing the Cobra Bracelet (24%) and Twice Around the World Bracelet (17%). I better get to work soon...:D WireBlissMei
