6 Steps Tutorial: Beaded Geometric Earrings

You will need the following for this project are:

• Wire - about 4 in or 10 cm long
• 5 Agate Beads, any type - I use 4mm Dyed Agate
• Earring hooks - there are many types of earring hooks. I use leverback earwire.
• Wire cutter, round nose pliers or just a normal pliers that can bend wires.

Wire Jewelry - Wire Wrapped Rose Earrings - Non Soldered

Hi! Happy Monday!
Yikes, still lazy to start anything but this will be a quick post for today.
Here's a pair of Wire Wrapped Rose Earrings, which (I couldn't believe it!!!) was completed few months back but I somehow forgot to post.

There are a few more earrings that were in the same batch but that would be for later.

This rose earrings here is a stud.
No soldering involve at all.
The process of creating them is similar to my "Wire Wrapped Rose Earrings Tutorial at Etsy" but with a little bit modification. Nevertheless, you'll get the idea if you go thru the steps.

And yes, this is a quick project, maximum 30 minutes of your time.
Haha....I always love simple (but elegant) and quick project.

Minlace - Prehnite the Stone of Prophecy

Finally got myself a bit of time to post this. Kind of slow right?
This time, I am back with Minlace (Minima Necklace). This Minlace is wire wrapped with the same stone as the Minlet in previous post - yes, prehnite.

Can't believe my first Minlace was back in January this year. Been wearing it ever since and yikes! how time flies.

Material:

• Chain: Box link stainless steel chain
• Clasp: Lobster claw clasp
• Gemstone Beads: Natural Prehnite nuggets of various sizes
• Length: About 42 cm or 16.5 inches

If you are a believer in the power of gemstones and crystals, Prehnite is believed to be a stone of prophecy. It also calms and protects and many more (believed) benefits such as these:

• Enhance level of insight - see truths you would otherwise be blind to.
• Enhance precognition, visualization and inner knowledge.
• Dream recall and to alleviate nightmares, deep fears and phobias. 
• Helps in decluttering your life and dispel unpleasant memories.
• In health, it heal the kidneys and the bladder, gout, anemia as well as increase energy.

MinLet - Prehnite, for Peace and Protection

Compared to man made crystals or beads, I prefer natural gemstones.
If it is a green colored gemstones, better still :)

This time around, my MinLet (Minima Bracelet) is wire wrapped with natural Prehnite nuggets.

One thing about Prehnite is that the stone can be a little bit on the brittle side. Few pieces got chipped off at the edges where holes were drilled. At least a third of them. Very sayang (wasted), so got to think of what to do with those chipped pieces.

Got to be extra careful while wire wrapping the stones as well. Be gentle.

Material:

• Chain: Box link stainless steel chain
• Clasp: Lobster claw clasp
• Gemstone Beads: Natural Prehnite nuggets of various sizes
• Length: About 7 inches (18 cm). Adding few jump rings will add to the length of the MinLet.

Wire Jewelry - Minlet - Rose Quartz and Yellow Agate

Somehow the pictures for Rose Quartz Minlet didn't turn out clear even after some editing ☹
Similar to previous Minlets, they are made wire wrapped with the following:

• Stainless steel chain link and lobster claw clasp (non-tarnish, easy to clean and long lasting).
• 6 mm Rose Quartz and 4mm Yellow Agate
• Length - about 7 inches (18 cm). These two are not adjustable but can be made into adjustable bracelets by adding jump rings like this and this. 

Minlet - Green Agate (Wire Wrapped)

I am still stuck with Minlet (Minima Bracelet).
This time around, my olor of the year - Green!

Material:

• Stainless steel chain link and lobster claw clasp (non-tarnish, easy to clean and long lasting).
• Green Agate - 6mm.
• Length - about 7 inches (18 cm).

Wire Jewelry - Twice Around the World (TAW) Bracelet

Wow!
Been away from this site of mine for quite sometime.
I am still making wire jewelry but just haven't gotten around to editing the photos and posting them more frequent.

So, on this Sunday afternoon, here is the newly completed Twice Around the World (TAW) Bracelet.

• Wire used - 19g Stainless steel
• Stone - 10mm blue stone (not sure of the name :))
• Length - 18 to 20 cm (extendable)

Embroidery by the Miao People - Video by Fiona

I have been following this blog, Life on Nanchang Lu by Fiona for a while.
Love her travel photography on life in China especially on food, glorious food :), people, places and culture.

As you know, I love embroidery - though I have not done any for a long long time.

Knotting for Every Occassion

I think wire twisting, wire bending, wire sculpturing is somehow related to knotting or tying knots.

I experimented and created wire jewelry based on Chinese Knot here, here, here and here.

Don of Kingfisher Design likes to tie little bows with wire in his designs.

Minlet and Introducing MINLACE, Happy New Year 2015

Last day of 2014 and my last post for the year. Looking forward to 2015, so let me wish you:

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015!!! Have a happy and prosperous 12 months of 2015.

Taking this opportunity to introduce my first MinLace (Minima Necklace) to all of you. This time around its Amethyst Minlace and Minlet, a February birthstone and a positive energy stones.

Minlet - All of Them (Well not really all of them :))

Finally able to post all the Minlet on the wrist. Love the look of few Minlets together rather than just one or two.

I think we can call it Stacking Minlet...hehe....what am I mumbling about....duh.

Well, not all of them are around anymore. Some have found new wrists while few I plan to giveaway.

That means I got to sit down and make some more of different colored gemstones.

Minlet - Swarovski Crystal (Crystal and Ruby)

This is the last Minlet of the batch.
This time around its 4mm Crystal and Ruby Swarovski crystal.
Like the rest, these Minlet is adjustable up to about 8 inches.

All components are stainless steel including the clasps.
Very easy to clean (with toothpaste, dish washing liquid, or this powder).
