Like it our not, face masks is here to stay for a while.

At least until Covid-19 is gone for good. 

And hopefully, this will be soon. 

How we miss the mask free days when we were out and about.

Now, everywhere you go, face mask is compulsory.

Or else be ready to pay for hefty fine if you got caught without or with your mask down.

I find it a bit troublesome to put on and take off the mask, especially at work while you are alone in your own work station or office. The same when you would like to take a sip of water, take a bite of food or while eating at the pantry or coffee shop.

Most of the time, we will take off the mask and put it on the table if there is nowhere to hang except your arm or maybe or under your chin. 

Yeah, lots of people just pull the mask down under their chins.

The problem with table surface or any other surface, is that we do not know how clean/sanitize it is. Yes, we should be worried about that. 

So, this face mask strap helps to solve this problem.

You don't have to worry where to place your mask anymore. 

It will always be around your neck.

Material and Components:

The strap or chain consist of these:

• 4 mm natural black striped agate onyx. Onyx is known to represent strength, focus, willpower. It is believed to imparts self control and confidence and stimulates the power of wise decision-making.
• 1 pair stainless steel lobster clasps (non-tarnish)
• 1 pair of wire wrapped "bunga terung" (eggplant flower)
• Other connectors such as stainless steel jump rings and tubes.

Style Options:

The best thing about this strap is that it is versatile and practical.

First, you can convert it into eyeglasses or sunglasses strap.

Add a pair of adjustable silicone grips on the temples.

It is very easy to install and remove and fits any size frames.

Unhook from face mask and hook on the eyeglasses.

Wire Wrapped Pipa Center Piece, Swarovski Pendant and Earrings

These are William's recent wire wrapping projects.

They are birthday gifts for a friend.

I notice that he has a liking to natural colored stones.

If not mistaken, the stones are Picture Jasper.

The pipa center piece is for a bracelet.

Wire wrapped with 20g brass wire.

The earrings and pendant used 19g (thick!). 

Guess he wants them sturdy :)

Completed this bracelet yesterday.

Simple wire wrapped bracelet with 6 mm ceramic beads.

Baking an AI Cake

I admit that I am not good with baking or cooking but sometimes just feel like trying out some easy recipes that I stumble upon online.

Today, however, my 2 boys decided to bake me this AI made cake recipe by Google. It is a Cake-Cookie hybrid. 

First and foremost, it is an easy recipe....and the result is not disappointing although sunken at the center. 

Just as described "It has the crispiness of a cookie and the, well, “cakiness” of a cake.".

We agreed that it is a bit too sweet. 

So, next Cakie must remember to reduce the sugar. 

Yeah, there will be a next Cakie.

Any pointer on how to avoid the cake from sinking?

I said I will post more often.
But, my more often is not that often.

Another long overdue post here.
This Tree of Life Pendant (TOL) and bracelet is for our dearest primary school English teacher - Mona San Louis.

We have not seen her for like more than 30 years!
But she looks great and beautiful as ever.

I didn't attend the reunion but just managed to get this TOL pendant and bracelet on time, to attend on my behalf.

I don't remember ever making a TOL pendant before, so this is a first.
I used peridot, garnet and tourmaline.

Wire Jewelry - Infinity Bracelet

Time really flies.
It's been 4 months since my last post.
Many things took place in between but I am not going into details in this post. Maybe some other time.

OK, today's post is about this gemstone Infinity Bracelet.
Actually this bracelet was completed back in July.
Yeah, took me that long to post.

Do excuse the photo quality- its handphone quality pics.
As mentioned before, my camera went "kong" many months already.
Been looking around for a new camera but yet to get a new one.

Still with the purple and blue stones - Amethyst, Lapis Lazuli and Amazonite.

This infinity bracelet is not difficult to make.
You only need a piece of wire - size 20g, 21g or 22g - and the gemstones.
Doesn't take that long too.

Wire Jewelry - Minlet - Rose Quartz and Yellow Agate

Somehow the pictures for Rose Quartz Minlet didn't turn out clear even after some editing ☹
Similar to previous Minlets, they are made wire wrapped with the following:

• Stainless steel chain link and lobster claw clasp (non-tarnish, easy to clean and long lasting).
• 6 mm Rose Quartz and 4mm Yellow Agate
• Length - about 7 inches (18 cm). These two are not adjustable but can be made into adjustable bracelets by adding jump rings like this and this. 

Minlet - Green Agate (Wire Wrapped)

I am still stuck with Minlet (Minima Bracelet).
This time around, my olor of the year - Green!

Material:

• Stainless steel chain link and lobster claw clasp (non-tarnish, easy to clean and long lasting).
• Green Agate - 6mm.
• Length - about 7 inches (18 cm).

Been away from this site of mine for quite sometime.
I am still making wire jewelry but just haven't gotten around to editing the photos and posting them more frequent.

• Stone - 10mm blue stone (not sure of the name :))

Minlet and Introducing MINLACE, Happy New Year 2015

Last day of 2014 and my last post for the year. Looking forward to 2015, so let me wish you:

Taking this opportunity to introduce my first MinLace (Minima Necklace) to all of you. This time around its Amethyst Minlace and Minlet, a February birthstone and a positive energy stones.

Minlet - All of Them (Well not really all of them :))

Finally able to post all the Minlet on the wrist. Love the look of few Minlets together rather than just one or two.

I think we can call it Stacking Minlet...hehe....what am I mumbling about....duh.

Well, not all of them are around anymore. Some have found new wrists while few I plan to giveaway.

That means I got to sit down and make some more of different colored gemstones.
