Day and Night Themed Wire Wrapped Bracelet - Pearl and 8mm black Swarovski Crystal.
The Sunday Market is a great place for ideas although most of the pretties sold there are stretch bracelets.
I saw a combination of 2 different colors stone for a stretch bracelet which is inspired me to create this day & night themed bracelet.
Added a heart shaped wired clasp to make the bracelet less boring :)
Shall be making more of them, with different colors stones though.

Braided Wire Cuff - Facing the Cobra Edition
The problem with taking too many pictures is to decide which one to post here.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures.
This braided wire cuff was completed many days ago to be paired with the green braided ring posted earlier. They are now with their new owner :) Other similar braided wire cuff I wire wrapped previously are here and here.

Gem Among the Thorns
Its durian season again in Sarawak and you can see this King of Fruits all over the City...ok a bit exagerating here but they are definitely in season.
Hubby bought some back this afternoon and I took the opportunity to snap picture of this newly completed cuff on top of one of this thorny fruit.
This cuff is wrapped with various gemstones, pearls and Czech beads. It is not as easy as it looks especially on the part of shaping the wires to fit the stones and making sure that the measurement would not be more than 7 inches. It is still beautiful though especially for those who love lively and fresh colors.
Happy weekend all.

Purple-Themed, Net Connection and X'mas
The net connection was really bad for the last two days. It was down on Sunday and when it got back on, it seems to have slowed down a lot. It was down again last night so I went to bed early. Maybe it was back in the middle of the night, dunno! but it was ok this morning.
If I delayed on emailing tutorials to you for the last two days, I apologize but I am blaming Telekom for the delay. I hope it will get back to normal soon.
To perk up the day, here is another purple-themed bracelet to share with you.
Since X'mas season would be here soon, I will be announcing X'mas Sales for items on my Etsy Shop very soon.
So, keep posted.

Been a while since I made pipa clasps. The last time were in May 2008 (Kissing Pipas) and April 2008 (Four-in-One). More than a year ago. Wow! How time flies...
Made these two yesterday..commission piece.
Got problem starting making them though as its been a while, but turned out ok :)
Love this clasp very much!

Feel the Blue-Blue Themed Wire Wrapped Bracelet
Sunday is gone! gone!
Been feeling blue, green, green and pink for the last two days. That's because I have been making these type of wire wrapped bracelets the last few days.
One thing about wire wrapping these type of bracelets is that I got to use some of my odd bead collection. Beads that I do not know what to do with as they are in odd numbers. Sometimes there is only one of them :)
This piece here is wrapped mostly with 22ga wire and measures about 19cm but extendable to 20cm as I added 3 jump rings at the end.

Wire Wrapped Bracelet - Green & Pink Themed
It's almost noon (Sunday) and I haven't been doing much. Went to the Sunday Market this morning and bought more than ten magazines. Looks like I need to put aside some time for reading which means less time for other things including wire jewelry.
I really really need to sort out my time and reorganize how I use them. The biggest issue is too little time but so many things to do.
Do you have the same problem?
Hmmm...now I am off to find some time to sort out my time problem.
At least I managed to get this bracelet done yesterday.
Happy Sunday everyone!

Back to Wire Wrapped Pearl Bracelet
Oh well, I'd rather stick with wire jewelry rather than baking although they are 2 different things all together.
Just didn't get that "feeling" after baking as compared to making wire jewelry.
Made this pearl bracelet after baking the Hong Kong Cake this afternoon.
Have a wonderful weekend all!

Still with Sparkly Wire Wrapped Bracelet
For the last few days/weeks I have been making these similar kind of sparkly wire wrapped bracelet. I hope you are not bored :D
This time around I used 22ga wire (top pix) and I found that I prefer this one rather than the 24ga wire used on the earlier bracelets. I am quite please with the clasp too (bottom left pix).

Wire Wrapped Sparkly Bracelets
Just completed these sparkly bracelets. The one on the left is wire wrapped with 14k goldfilled wire while the one on the right is sterling silver wire. All beads are 8mm donut shaped Swarovski Crystals. They measure between 17cm to 21cm in length.

Wire Wrapped Pearl Bracelets
Two simple wire wrapped pearl bracelets for sis-in-law. I made her two pearl necklaces back in 2007 (wow! it has been that long! time really flies) and only now she requested for the bracelets.
Will be posting more later.

Stringing Projects
Sometimes I wonder why I don't do stringing projects more often. They are much! much! much! easier than wire wrapping. They are much faster to complete. I can complete one necklace under half and hour.
On the other hand I need at least 3 to 4 hours to complete one wire wrapped necklace or 1 to 2 hours for a wire wrapped bracelet. Much more hours needed if the wire wrapping is complicated.
But then I realized stringing is just stringing. All you need are string, clasps, pliers and beads or gemstones. Put them all together and you are done. Of course, a bit more creativity will create one of a kind stringed piece.
Wire wrapping on the other hand still requires all the above except the string. But then of course lots of patience and load of imagination and creativity. With wires, I can manipulate them into various designs and shapes which string can't do.
You can't make a clasp out of string do you? Or you can?
At the end of the day, completing a wire wrapped piece gives me more satisfaction and sense of accomplishment than completing a stringed piece of jewelry.
Hmm.....maybe you don't agree with me. The above necklaces, bracelet and earrings turned out quite well but I am still crazy about wires and wire wrapping jewelry ;D
Have a happy wrapping day!

Turquoise - Modified Monstrance
It was originally like this!
"Bib", the new owner however requested that I replace the focal with this 8mm turquoise.
While wire wrapping the turquoise as focal, the idea to wrap the 4 bicone crystals on the 4 corners struck me. I quickly emailed her and asked what she think of the addition and her reply is ......"ohhhh, i lurv it Mei....do proceed."

Monstrance Bracelet with Egyptian Coils
Done! An Egyptian Coiled Monstrance Bracelet.
The focal and 'rays' consist of square and bicone Swarovski Crystals. Actually I was looking for a round flat crystal for focal but can't find any so settled with this square crystal.
The monstrance measures approximately 4cm x 3.5cm.
Last but not least, don't forget to check out my new blog on orchids - OrchidBliss.
