Just a few Post Earrings

Here are few post earrings I managed to get done today. They are done almost similar to the stud earrings. It's late and it's time for bed. I was unable to access my blog earlier, reason for this late posting. But I will be off to bed right after this. So, have a wonderful morning and happy weekend. wire wrapped post earrings wire wrapped post earrings WireBlissMei

A Variation to the Stud Earrings - dangle

If you have purchased my tutorial earlier, here is a variation to the Wire Wrap Stud Earrings that you can try out. Instead of bending the wire 90 degree to form the posts, leave this wire straight up and longer, about 5 cm which is use to form a wire wrap loops and later on the spirals at the front. Email or leave me comment if you have questions.

Wire Wrap Stud Earrings By Linda of CrazedMagpie

Here is what Linda has to say about her earrings made based on my recent tutorial - Wire Wrap Stud Earrings.
Hi Mei,

Your tutorial was very clear and concise! See?

The first picture is my first try - came out pretty good! The second, I got brave a little too fast and switched to silver....not as good - but I think the wire was heavier. It didn't want to bend for anything! Those two inspired me to go bigger and bolder although not necessarily better with the third pair.

Now I'll take my sore fingers off to do some housework!

Here and There and Pearl Stud Earrings

Today was a busy day spent going here and there. First hubby and me went off to Serikin Market early in the morning for a bit of shopping. Yeah! the border town near Indonesia about an hour drive from Kuching. Bought some fruits, fish sounds, bananas and buah langsat (local fruit). While there, I took some pix, shown here are the limestone hill in Bau still covered in mist early this morning, some silver jewelry and items from an antique stall in Serikin Market, some kind of edible snails (never tried it before) and buah langsat at Kampung Duyoh roadside stalls. At BauSilver items at Serikin MarketSilver items at Serikin Market Siput at Serikin Market Buah langsat Came back around noon and I managed to whip up a pearl stud earrings. Simple one which I have done previously. pearl stud earrings pearl stud earrings Then in the evening, we drove off to the coastal part of Kuching, about 30 km out to the coast looking for fresh fish and prawns. It's hard to find fresh fish and prawn in the city as all the fresh ones goes to the restaurants. While waiting in the car with the boys, we kept ourselves busy watching some boys and a girl fishing at the riverbank. The two boys were so happy and wanted to join them. Henry was so happy to see the fishing boats...his first time seeing these boats. Well that is how I spent the day.....more wire jewelry in the coming days...hopefully. houses on stiltHenry looking out at the boats

Wire Wrapped Tulip Brooch/Pendant/Earring - All in One (maybe new Tutorial)

Spent the whole day wire wrapping this tulip brooch cum pendant cum earring (1 side only :)) and took lots of pictures as I am thinking of turning them into step by step tutorial later on...but still thinking. That is why the "maybe" in the title...hehe. Why "maybe" you may ask? Well, writing a step by step wire jewelry tutorial is not as easy as you thought. Takes lots of time in choosing the best pix, editing them, prepare the doc, writing, editing, editing, editing, proofreading, proofreading, edit again, formatting, converting files, etc. etc. That is why. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this piece and I shall announce it if I finally decided to do the tutorial. Maybe I should just go ahead with the tutorial. Ah! Let me sleep over it. Sweet dreams and good nite. Wire Wrapped Tulip Brooch/Pendant/EarringWire Wrapped Tulip Brooch/Pendant/Earring Wire Wrapped Tulip Brooch/Pendant/Earring

Another Purple Themed Bracelet & Earrings

What can I say? Purple is still the favorite color for some. Again, I have made few of similar bracelets that I am running out of ideas on how to wire wrap each of the beads so that it will not be the same as the previous ones. Seems to be repeating similar wire wrapping designs though. Any ideas out there? Hmmmm........

Green, Red and Black

I wanted to post these three pieces early today but got caught with work and rushed to catch the flight to Sibu this afternoon. This town is located at the bank of the mighty Rajang River, about 35 minutes flight from Kuching. And why am I here? As usual its work related - I am attending a seminar on peat swamp forest and oil palm plantation development....boring? Me too....hehehe Oh well, read on below as its more on wire jewelry :D It's almost midnight now and I am still at the hotel lobby as WIFI only available here :(

These two bracelets and earrings were remade for one of my customers. Just simple wire wrapping involved. Love the green stones but not sure what stones though. Looks like agate but may be green aventurine.
